The Cramps have been one of my favorite bands for ten years now. "Let's Get Fucked Up" was the song that introduced me to punk rock, in the rattly Jeep of my step-aunt when I was 12 years old. Their live shows have been some of the best I have ever seen. Lux was always on my list of the greatest living frontmen -- now he's on my list of the greatest frontmen of all time.
This is the first celebrity death in a while that has truly affected me, moved me to tears, stopped my heart for a second. Lux will be sorely missed. A true loss for punk rock.
Now, go light a candle, listen to "Songs The Lord Taught Us," and get fucked up for Lux.
